Hindustan Motors cuts SUV prices on excise duty cut Jul 07,2009
Auto maker Hindustan Motors Ltd (HML) said on Monday it would cut prices of some of its sports utility vehicles (SUV) by 6,000 rupees per unit, after India cut excise duty on large cars and vehicles.

Hindustan Motors posts $3.6 mn loss Oct 22,2008
Hindustan Motors Ltd, part of the CK Birla group, has posted a net loss of $3.6 million for the second quarter this fiscal, compared to $62,000 in the year-ago period. "Rising input costs, foreign exchange rates and paucity of retail finance have impacted the quarter's performance," a company statement said Tuesday.
